Today’s Tip:  Changing Default Browser in Lotus Notes

Clicking on a web link in your email is likely to open using the browser embedded in Lotus Notes.  Many websites do not function at their peak performance level using this browser (such as ServicePoint and GoToWebinar).  To change the defaul browser for your Lotus Notes follow this simple steps:

Step 1:  Open the “File” menu on the top left hand side of Lotus Notes.  Select “Preferences” from the drop down menu.  The preferences window will now display.

Step 2: Select “Web Browser” from the menu on the left hand side of window.  Once, the web browser screen has displayed select “Use the browser I have set as the default from this operating system.”  Click “Apply” to save changes and “OK” to exit.

Links clicked on from emails will no longer open in the embedded Lotus Notes browser but instead your default browser (Internet Explorer or Google Chrome).
